What happened is we had an old terminal server that we upgraded to Well we decided to get a new server and built a R2 from scratched with RDP services. I installed a bunch of apps. But after adding the remote desktop services roles I can no longer install programs. I am doing it from the console as well with the installer rdp wizard. No matter what they all bomb out with Obviously the new roles are blocking something but I have no idea where. If you didn't install that for some reason and try to install KB then msiexec gets broken.

Suddenly cannot install new programs in Win 7 professional. Have tried various suggestions in similar questions where relevant to Win 7, some have turned out to be for Vista , but no luck.
