Thank you. Jack, Win7 x64 uses as default the WMP x That's why it didn't work. Also, you can't set WMP x64 as default. A simple solution is to create a shortcut of the x64 on your SuperBar and when you want to see a movie or something, open the x64 from the shortcut and the files through WMP. Both versions working perfectly. I loaded the DirectVobSob 64 bit version for my Win 7 64 bit machine but it didn't work.
I then loaded the x86 version not 64 bit and it started working. Also, now the subtitles show whether or not I have subtitles selected on the play menu for WMP. Anyway, if you have a problem with Win 7 64 bit, try loading the non bit version. I had no problem with DirectVobSub VSFilter on windows 7 64bit and windows media player, since I did recover factory setting on my laptop, now it dosn't work at all, I tried every thing but it's not working, could you please help me to solve this proble.
You should use the configuration option to set the Text settings at the Main tab correctly. Press the button where Arial appears. The style Editor window will then be displayed. Click now on the second button below the font showing default and change it to Hebrew then click Apply at the bottom and you are done. Good luck! There is a nasty bug in external sub loading, if the file name has several dots, for example Movie. A lot of releases are named this way so unless you rename them yourself they won't work..
Hopefully this will be fixed in future releases.. Actually after looking closer it seems to be subtitle format related and not filename, for some reason most subtitles work fine if they are in. They are also loaded in. Weird to say the least. Thanks to all folks who wrote this codec and shared. It fixed my problem. With 2. Thanks, thanks, thanks :. It has all the latest bells-and-whistles for home users Microsoft has to offer. Except subtitles in Windows Media Player version I tried "everything" and finally gave up.
Downloaded VLC video player and it supported subtitles out of the box. It would have been OK for me except that subtitle fonts looked a bit ugly and blocky when a video was in full screen mode. I guess I could have tweaked it somehow to look better but I was just looking for a solution, not tweaks.
Then I came across DirectVobSub 2. Weird, I know. Nice looking subtitles out of the box. That's what I call a solution. Thx DirectVobSub developers. You have done something MS should learn from you. You make it sound so easy. Downloaded DirectVobSub I uninstalled the above mentioned version and installed vsfilter. Under my Program Files x86 there is a folder called DirectVobSub and within that folder are only two things. An uninstall.
